Streszczenie

Assessment of acute and late toxic sequelae continues to be a significant issue in diagnosis and medical certification; thus, new non-invasive imaging techniques are continuously being sought and introduced into clinical toxicology practice. Cases encountered at the Department of Clinical Toxicology and Nuclear Medicine Unit teams relating to evaluation of neurotoxic effects of carbon monoxide, ethanol and tetraethyl lead by measurement of regional cerebral blood flow using SPECT are presented in the paper. Furthermore, cases involving measurement of myocardial perfusion in acute carbon monoxide and paracetamol poisoning using rest and rest-stress 99mTc-MIBI GSPECT are also presented.
