The method of unequivocal determination of the chronology of inscriptions in the case when one of them is an inscription using thermic way of making it permanent has been presented. The method is based on the fact that the thermoplastic properties of the line of the classic covering materials and reliefs impressed by writing tools create specific conditions for the thermic process of toner imprint on the previously written space of paper.
